World's First! CATL's 350Wh/kg Aviation Battery Passes Adjacent Cell Thermal Runaway Verification

Recently, the aviation power battery system developed by CATL for the manned eVTOL successfully passed the verification of non-propagation of thermal runaway from two adjacent cells. This is the world's first aviation power battery system that uses square cells with an energy density as high as 350Wh/kg and has passed this test.

During this test process, different positions such as the middle and corners were selected to simultaneously trigger two adjacent cells, and ultimately succeeded in achieving no thermal propagation.
