Indonesia, the Land of a Thousand Islands, is not only the largest and fastest-growing EV market in Southeast Asia, but also one of the regions with extremely variable terrain and climate: in Jakarta, with heavy traffic congestion, EV owners are in urgent need of batteries with lower energy consumption and longer range; the rainstorms that may come anytime place higher demands on the waterproof performance of the batteries; and the heat and high humidity of the island region bring severe tests on the stability and safety. 

In the face of the above market headaches, REPT BATTERO and Wending have joined forces to empower the Magic Battery with Wending technology, bringing the latest power solution to the Southeast Asian market!

The battery is jointly developed by REPT BATTERO team and Wuling Indonesia team, which is the first time to realise power battery production in Indonesia.

This battery adopts Wending technology, replacing the traditional U-shaped lugs with L-shaped ones, which avoids the risk of internal short-circuit caused by the lugs sinking and contacting with the pole pieces during the vibration conditions of the whole vehicle application.

Through the application of Wending technology, these cells are enabled to be free from short-circuit, leakage, lithium precipitation and fire. Even if the battery cell is punctured by one third in the pinprick test, it can still cycle normally.

In China, the battery has achieved a record of zero spontaneous combustion in 2.4 million new energy vehicles! This safety and reliability will continue in the Indonesian market. 

In the future, the battery will support Wuling's ‘ABC’ new energy products and subsequent product lineup.
