EVE Energy Inaugurates Chengdu Mass Production Base for Solid-State Batteries, Marking a Key Step Toward Commercialization
2025-09-06 | Calvin
On September 2, 2025, EVE Energy officially inaugurated its Chengdu mass production base for solid-state batteries, as the “Longquan No. 2” all-solid-state battery rolled off the production line. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy; Ms. Zhu Yuan, Vice President and Director of the Science and Technology Committee; Dr. Zhao Ruirui, President of the Central Research Institute; along with distinguished guests, who together witnessed a crucial milestone in the company’s journey toward solid-state battery commercialization.
During the ceremony, Dr. Zhao Ruirui provided a detailed overview of the Chengdu facility’s plans. Covering a total area of about 11,000 square meters, the base will have an annual production capacity of nearly 500,000 cells once fully operational. The project will be completed in two phases: Phase I, to be finished by December 2025, will feature manufacturing capabilities for 60Ah cells; Phase II, scheduled for December 2026, will deliver an annual capacity of 100MWh. The newly launched “Longquan No. 2” is a 10Ah all-solid-state battery, boasting an energy density of 300Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 700Wh/L. It is primarily designed for advanced applications such as humanoid robots, low-altitude aircraft, and AI-powered equipment.
In front of the attending guests, Vice President and Science and Technology Committee Director Ms. Zhu Yuan, together with Dr. Zhao Ruirui, unveiled the plaque for the Chengdu mass production base.

Following this, Chairman Dr. Liu Jincheng and Dr. Zhao Ruirui jointly unveiled the first “Longquan No. 2” battery rolling off the line.

In his speech, Chairman Dr. Liu Jincheng emphasized that EVE Energy has always adhered to the R&D philosophy of “scientific design and extensive experimentation.” When faced with multiple technological pathways, the company remains committed to rational evaluation and only advances to large-scale industrialization after thoroughly verifying feasibility. Through the “Longquan” series, EVE Energy will pursue multi-route development and systematically drive technological iteration. To achieve the critical 2025 targets of 400Wh/kg energy density and 1000Wh/L volumetric density, the company will make significant investments in funding, equipment, and research resources, accelerating the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries.
