REPT BATTERO Delivers Its First Grid-Connected BESS Project in Japan

Recently, a batch of REPT BATTERO projects across Japan are undergoing grid-commissioning readiness, with the site in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture emerging as the inaugural asset to come online. This represents REPT BATTERO's maiden grid-connected standalone battery energy storage deployment in Japan.

The Kanuma project is sized at1.99MW/8.35MWh. REPT BATTERO provided full-cabinet supply of its 417kWh liquid-cooled outdoor DC energy storage cabinets as the core equipment.

Operating as an independent energy-storage facility, the project generates revenue by participating in Japan's grid frequency-regulation ancillary service market, capacity market and electricity spot market. Besides, the project delivers multi-faceted public-interest value advancing Japan's energy transition agenda. It bolsters grid stability and power quality, provides critical BCP emergency backup capacity, and unlocks economic value from underutilized land.
