Over 3GWh! CATL's TENER Energy Storage System Exclusively Powers Australia's Largest Operational NEM Energy Storage Project

Recently, the second phase of the Supernode Energy Storage Project in Australia, developed by Quinbrook, has been officially put into commercial operation, while the financing for the third phase, amounting to AUD 469 million, has been concurrently completed. With this, the first and second phases (520MW/1858MWh) of the project are now fully commercialized. Upon the completion of the third phase, the total energy storage capacity will exceed 3GWh, making it the largest operational battery energy storage project within the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).

As the sole supplier of the energy storage system for this project, CATL, leveraging its highly reliable products, large-scale delivery capabilities, and full lifecycle service capacity, has made equipment risks assessable and manageable. This has provided key technical support for the project to secure infrastructure financing:

• Full Project Deployment of CATL Energy Storage Systems: The third phase will exclusively adopt CATL's TENER energy storage system. Furthermore, both parties will jointly develop an 8-hour long-duration energy storage solution in the future.
• Establishment of a Unified Standardized Technical Platform: To ensure the full-cycle safety and efficient operation of this large-scale energy storage asset, CATL has set up a unified standardized technical platform at the site, eliminating potential compatibility issues among the multi-phase equipment.
• Full-Cycle LTSA (Long-Term Service Agreement) Services: Extending condition monitoring, performance tracking, and preventive maintenance throughout the entire operational phase. The highly reliable product performance, large-scale delivery capability, and full-lifecycle services provide a solid technical endorsement for the project to secure infrastructure financing.
