HiTHIUM 587Ah Ultra High Capacity Battery Enters Mass Production and Completes First Delivery

HiTHIUM, a leading global energy storage technology company, recently announced that its ∞Cell 587Ah high-capacity energy storage battery has officially entered mass production and completed its first deliveries at the company’s Xiamen base. This milestone marks the energy storage industry’s entry into the “500Ah+ high-capacity cell era” and highlights HiTHIUM’s strength in high-quality manufacturing and reliable delivery.
∞Cell 587Ah: Three Years of Development Driving Industrialization Breakthroughs
As the global energy transition accelerates, demand for long-duration storage has surged. Large-capacity batteries and systems have become key to improving efficiency, lowering costs, and enhancing safety and reliability.
HiTHIUM began research into long-duration storage in 2022. In 2023, it launched the world’s first 1,000Ah+ cell and a 6MWh+ system with a four-string-by-four-cluster architecture for 4h+ applications. By 2024, this design was adapted for 2h systems alongside the development of the ∞Cell 587Ah. Derived from the ∞Cell 1175Ah, the 587Ah offers half the capacity while sharing the same ∞Pack and ∞Power platforms. Through innovations in chemistry, process, and structural design, it achieves 94.5% efficiency, over 10,000 cycles, and delivers high performance, safety, reliability, long cycle life, and broad applicability.
The ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h system, equipped with the ∞Cell 587Ah, also recently rolled off the production line, further expanding HiTHIUM’s differentiated product portfolio to cover a wider range of applications.
Pushing Manufacturing Limits: PPB-Level Quality
To ensure high-quality production of the ∞Cell 587Ah, HiTHIUM’s Xiamen plant underwent multiple process upgrades, becoming a digitalized, intelligent production line. As a result, single-line production efficiency has improved by 17.1%, with process capability (Cpk) exceeding 1.33. Advanced techniques such as multi-pass anode rolling, interface control, and high-precision temperature regulation reduced electrode rebound rates by over 50%, improved temperature accuracy by 50%, and achieved PPB-level defect rates, further enhancing stability and quality.
Nearly 2,000 intelligent devices enable full automation and real-time data capture, while critical parameters are monitored via Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure consistency. The line also employs AI vision inspection across 13+ stations, equipped with over 390 CCD sensors and 3D cameras performing 1,200+ tasks, detecting defects at 0.3 mm precision and ensuring each ∞Cell 587Ah rolls off the line defect-free.
As demand for large-capacity batteries and systems grows, the ∞Cell 587Ah will play a central role in driving high-quality industry development.
