Gotion High-Tech Partners with BASF to Accelerate Iterative Upgrades in Solid-State Battery Technology

Recently, Gotion High-Tech and BASF signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Hefei to jointly develop next-generation solid-state battery technology. This collaboration will fully integrate both parties’ core strengths in materials innovation and battery research and development, marking a new stage in Gotion High-Tech’s strategic deployment toward large-scale and systematic advancement in next-generation solid-state batteries.

According to the agreement, the partnership will center on collaborative innovation, focusing on the joint development of high-performance materials for next-generation solid-state batteries, covering multiple core material categories. Leveraging Gotion High-Tech’s industrialization capabilities in solid-state battery technology and BASF’s deep expertise in materials research and development, the two companies will carry out joint battery and system design as well as targeted material development. Together, they aim to precisely overcome key technical bottlenecks in the commercialization of solid-state batteries.

In addition, both parties will further explore the market promotion of their joint R&D achievements, accelerating the transformation of innovative outcomes into global markets and empowering diverse application scenarios such as new energy vehicles and energy storage systems.

Its Jinshi all-solid-state battery has established the first 0.2 GWh pilot production line, with a yield rate exceeding 90% and an energy density of 300 Wh/kg. The G-Yuan semi-solid battery has completed vehicle integration and testing with multiple customers.
