CALB Leads Global Ship Electrification Wave with Marine 2C Fast-Charging Products

From March 24th to 28th, the 2025 Singapore International Maritime Week (SMW) grandly commenced at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. CALB made a significant appearance with its world-leading marine power battery systems and innovative solutions, showcasing China's cutting-edge new energy technology to the global shipping industry under the theme "Embracing the Future of Ship Electrification".

As a battery expert and pioneer in ship electrification, CALB has developed a range of products covering cells, modules, battery packs, and battery systems tailored for various marine applications. With four core advantages—high power, long range, high safety, and long lifespan—the company's products have been the first to obtain certifications from four major international classification societies (CCS, DNV, ABS, and RINA) and have been successfully delivered to domestic and international customers.

Defining New Standards for Marine Batteries

In response to the stable demand for universal battery products in the global electric ship sector, CALB introduced long-life marine cells—320Ah and 230Ah—along with the 163Ah-2C fast-charging cell, based on energy-type and power-type development pathways.

The newly launched L173F163 2C cell features low-expansion graphite technology and incorporates high-kinetics electrolytes, achieving sustained 2C and peak 4C high-rate charging/discharging while maintaining long cycle life. The 2C battery system developed from this cell will enter mass production in Q3 of this year.

Also exhibited was the L173F320 marine long-life cell, which adopts high-density, high-capacity technology combined with low-defect, high-stability graphite integration, delivering a system lifespan exceeding 12 years. It is the world's first to complete the closed loop from product definition to mass production.

Building a New Paradigm for Systems

The world's first walk-in containerized power solution, built with 320Ah cells, enables modular deployment of "power hearts" in 20-foot containers. Its innovative 5-minute intelligent robotic handling system, paired with megawatt-level dynamic strategy management, meets the needs of ocean-going cargo ships, port service vessels, luxury yachts, and other full-scenario applications.
