EVE Energy’s role extends beyond battery supply into the deep construction of a localized European supply chain.
Near BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary, EVE Energy is building a large-format cylindrical battery factory with a planned capacity of nearly 30 GWh. Scheduled to begin production in 2026, the facility will provide close-range cell supply to BMW’s iFactory.
This approach not only shortens logistics distances but also closely aligns with Europe’s regulatory requirements for localized production and reduced carbon footprints.
Upstream supply chain security is equally critical. Chengdu Bamo, a subsidiary of Huayou Cobalt, is constructing a cathode material plant in Hungary. Starting in 2026, it will supply EVE Energy’s Hungarian facility with ultra-high-nickel ternary cathode materials under a long-term agreement.
