The Daihai Energy Storage Power Plant, invested and constructed by Jingneng Power, is equipped with 192 sets of MC Cube-T ESS supplied by BYD Energy storage, with a total capacity of 300MW/1200MWh. BYD Energy Storage customized an energy storage solution for this project in the desert, Gobi and barren area, addressing the challenges in extreme environments.

The project is located in Liangcheng County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia, which is an extreme cold, wind-prone and sandy area with great difficulty in construction. lt requires extremely strong adaptability and stability of energy storage systems. With BYD's "Blade Battery for Energy Storage" and CTS (Cell to System) technology, the MC Cube-T ESS demonstrated excellent product capability and flexibility, ensuring the grid-connected operation of the Daihai Energy Storage Project.

The MC Cube-T ESS adopts a modular design and has five advantages: easy layout, easy transportation, easy installation, easy maintenance, and easy augmentation. lt can be transported either in parts or as a whole, and over-weight is no longer a worry. A small crane is enough for transportation and installation.

The system supports plug-and-play and remote commissioning, and the installation and commissioning efficiency is increased by 80%. lt facilitated the rapid completion of the project and shortened the DC-side on-site work from an average of 90 days to only 47 days, achieving full-capacity grid connection by the end of the year.
