Sodium ion Battery Cell

Sodium-ion batteries (Na-ion batteries) are a type of rechargeable battery that uses sodium ions as the charge carriers. Similar to lithium-ion batteries, Na-ion batteries store and release electrical energy through the reversible movement of ions between the positive and negative electrodes. Sodium-ion batteries are an emerging commercial alternative to lithium-ion batteries for stationary storage and transportation applications due to the greater abundance and lower cost of sodium as well as their performance advantages at low temperatures.
