CALB "Zhijiu" Series Energy Storage Cells at ESIE 2026

On April 1st, the 14th International Energy Storage Summit & Exhibition (ESIE 2026) opened in Beijing. CALB participated in the event as a “AI+Energy, Zero Carbon Solution Provider” and officially launched the "Zhijiu" series next-generation long-cycle energy storage cells, including the 392Ah, 588Ah, and 661Ah versions, at the press conference held on the first day of the exhibition.
Full Series of Long-Cycle Energy Storage Cells: 15,000 Cycles, Zero Capacity Loss in the First Three Years
The newly launched "Zhijiu" series long-cycle energy storage cells include three capacity versions: 392Ah, 588Ah, and 661Ah. These cells are developed based on the company’s experience of mass production and delivery of the 314Ah Gen2.0 ultra-long cycle energy storage cells over the past year. The core specifications of these products include 15,000 cycles of lifespan, 25 years of calendar life, and zero capacity degradation in the first three years.
From a technical perspective, the long cycle life is achieved thanks to the systematic optimization of cathode, anode, and electrolyte materials. CALB has pioneered the large-scale implementation of lithium supplementation technology in the industry. On the cathode side, lithium supplementation agents are added to enhance initial capacity and cycle stability; on the electrolyte side, a unique electrolyte additive improves the stability of the cathode-electrolyte interface (CEI) membrane, effectively suppressing side reactions between the cathode material and electrolyte, and significantly addressing the gas generation issue commonly encountered during lithium supplementation—realizing "lithium supplementation without gas generation." On the anode side, advanced granulation technology and an artificial SEI (Solid Electrolyte Interphase) interface design are adopted to enhance the stability of the anode structure.
This series of cells is primarily targeted at scenarios such as new energy integration, grid fluctuation regulation, AIDC, and zero-carbon parks. It is designed to meet the long-life requirements of energy storage systems under high-frequency operation, supporting the 25-year lifecycle goal of "solar-storage co-lifetime."
Launch of "Zero Carbon Ark": Empowering Urban Smart Energy Upgrades
At the press conference, CALB, together with Bingwu Intelligent Digital, launched the zero-carbon software platform product—“Zero Carbon Ark” Energy Management Platform. This platform is positioned as a smart energy hub for parks and cities.
In terms of technical architecture, “Zero Carbon Ark” aggregates data from sources, grid, load, and storage using AI algorithms to achieve coordinated optimization, building a city energy hub. In terms of implementation, CALB adopts a progressive strategy from parks to cities, starting with zero-carbon parks as a pilot unit and gradually expanding to a holistic approach, ultimately realizing smart scheduling and zero-carbon transformation for smart cities. Currently, the “Zero Carbon Ark” full-scenario zero-carbon ecological demonstration project has completed market validation and will soon enter the mass delivery stage.
At the exhibition, CALB also held an in-depth session titled “Zero Carbon Ark: Smart Start to the Future—CALB AI+ Energy Empowering the New Ecology of Zero Carbon Parks,” where they shared technical details and application cases of their zero-carbon solutions.
